EUGENE, Ore. — Whitaker neighborhood residents were shaken Sunday morning by a “huge boom” following the explosion of a popular local food cart.
Buck Buck Food Cart, located outside of Oakshire Brewing Public House on Madison Street, exploded just before 8 a.m., according to the Eugene Springfield Fire Department. An initial assessment by firefighters indicated gas lines leading to the food truck’s propane tank malfunctioned, causing the blast and destroying the food cart.
